What Is the Move Together Challenge?

Eighteen challenges in, and I still get the same feeling of pure excitement when sign-ups open and a brand new Move Together challenge awaits us!

Part anticipation for the new programming, part excitement for the new levels of progress that will be unlocked, part genuine gratitude that this many women want to do this with linked arms. Move Together remains the thing I look forward to across the calendar year, not necessarily because it's the hardest thing we'll be doing in our lives but because the alignment of nutrition and programming compounded by the community energy is hard to replicate outside a challenge to me. The momentum is so real, and it's hard to explain until you've felt the satisfaction of leaning in, but if you've been part of a challenge before, you already know. If this is your first, it's about to get so good!

What’s Inside the Move Together challenge

Move Together is Moves' most condensed, results-driven challenge — a 5-week structure built to stack effective habits and accelerate progress. It aligns your workouts, your fuel, and a community moving alongside you, so you see and feel results: real momentum you can build from, not a reset you have to recover from. That's what five weeks of consistency does. It compounds into strength, resilience, and confidence that lasts.

Mark Your Calendars!

  • Sign-ups open September 28th
  • Challenge starts October 12th

What the Move Together challenge includes:

  • 5-Week Workout Plan
  • Recipe Guide (30+ Recipes)
  • Personalized Macro Counts
  • Community and Accountability
  • App Tools and Tracking
  • Nutrition and Training Education

The value of everything included easily exceeds $300. Moves subscribers get access at $30 — 40% off the standard $50 rate. These challenges don't come around often so it's important not to miss the window of sign-ups even if you intend to utilize the resources later! Once the challenge closes, only those who have purchased will have access — it's in the vault and cannot be purchased at a later date.

Train with purpose, fuel with strategy

Move Together programming is built around progressive overload, with layers woven into the weeks so you see it and feel it. By the end, you can expect a body that moves with more confidence and control — fueled by nutrition finally working with your training instead of against it.

On the training front, Move Together bridges the gap between aesthetics and performance. Traditional hypertrophy training builds muscle and shape; athletic movement builds coordination, power, and reactivity. Programming both together, in the same five weeks, is what makes the results feel different — stronger, more capable, more coordinated. The aesthetic changes are a byproduct of smart, balanced programming. You don't have to chase them. They naturally follow.

A sneak peek inside the program:

  • 5-week structured challenge, Home or Gym track, 30- or 60-minute workouts, 4- or 6-day splits
  • Progressive overload with emphasis on deep core, stability, athleticism, and mobility
  • Personalized nutrition strategy with custom macro counts (deficit and maintenance included) or build-your-plate guidance
  • 30+ recipes reviewed by a Registered Dietitian
  • NEW! Weekly skill progressions and corrective work guided by Doctors of Physical Therapy
  • NEW! Choose your intensity day: high intensity or low impact
  • NEW! Prenatal informed programming, with swaps as needed

A few things are new to this challenge, and we can't wait for you to experience them. On Wednesdays, you'll choose your intensity: high intensity or low impact, depending on where you are that day. No guilt, no modifications that feel like less — just two equally valid options. And for our pregnant members, we've added prenatal swaps for every trimester, developed by Doctors of Physical Therapy and pre/postnatal-certified specialists. You don't have to sit this one out.

We've also built in a deload week to reduce fatigue and help your body re-regulate — not a break, but part of the design — so you finish stronger than you started and build a foundation worth continuing, in the gym and beyond.

And because you can't out-train poor nutrition, Move Together gives you multiple ways to approach the fuel side: personalized fat loss and maintenance macro counts, or plate-building templates that use portions to guide you — no tracking required. You'll walk away with the tools and education to customize your plan not just during the challenge, but long after it's over.

The research speaks for itself

Having confidence in a structured plan (not random workouts) delivers lasting benefits. Whether you're training through pregnancy, navigating perimenopause, or simply building strength that carries you through every decade, we view it as our responsibility to set women up for their current and future phases of life. The research makes it clear why this work matters:

  • Lifting weights and resistance exercise can increase bone density in the spine by 3–4% in just 8 months for postmenopausal women, while also improving daily function.
  • Strength-balance-gait programs reduce falls by ~23% in older adults.
  • Comprehensive strength programs reduce risk of many injuries including ACL tears, runner's knee, rotator cuff injuries, low back pain, and many more.
  • Modest amounts of plyometric and strength work in well-structured programs has been shown to reduce risk of fractures in postmenopausal women.
  • Combination of resistance and aerobic training shown to improve mental health and performance of daily tasks via quality of life questionnaires.
  • Adults meeting both aerobic exercise and muscle-strengthening guidelines had a 47% lower risk of CVD-related mortality.

Why we do this together

The community truly makes this an experience like nothing else.

Most people pause other training programs to take part in the challenge, and the momentum of doing the same workouts as thousands of others, and seeing their check-ins, sharing recipe and snack ideas, encouragement, and more from others in real-time is extra special.

Move Together is short, intense, and will be a lot more fun if we tackle it together. Whether that's a sister, a friend, or tens of thousands of women doing the same workout at the same time — accountability makes it better. So grab a partner and let's get after it!
