Getting started Tighter Together

Do I need a subscription to join a Tighter Together challenge?

No! Anyone can participate in Tighter Together challenges. You don’t need to be a Moves App subscriber to join.

However, Moves App subscribers do receive a 40% discount on Tighter Together purchases and full access to all Moves App features. If you're not a subscriber, your Tighter Together purchase includes 6 months of app access—but only for the Tighter Together workouts and resources.

Included with Your Tighter Together Purchase

When you purchase Tighter Together as a non-subscriber, you’ll get 6 months of full logging capabilities in the Moves App—but only for the Tighter Together workouts. This includes features like weight tracking, scheduling, moving, editing, and customizing your Tighter Together workouts.

After the 6-Month Period

After this 6-month period, access to the workouts and resources for the specific Tighter Together plan you purchased will transition to view-only mode unless you subscribe to Moves App.

Benefits for Subscribers

What equipment do I need for the workouts?

Whether you're working out at the gym or from the comfort of your home, the Tighter Together challenge is designed to be flexible and accommodating. Here’s a breakdown of the equipment you’ll need and some helpful tips to get started:

At-Home Workouts

Required Equipment:

  • Dumbbells: (5 lb – 30 lb)
  • Mini Loop Bands
  • Long Loop Bands or Cable Machine
  • Box or Bench: Use any elevated surface like a chair, cooler, picnic table bench, sturdy storage container, or coffee table.

Optional Equipment: Exercise ball, jump rope, kettlebell, barbell, weighted slam ball, cardio machines

Gym Workouts

Your gym should be equipped with everything you need for the challenge, including:

  • Dumbbells
  • Barbells
  • Cable machines
  • Exercise balls

If you're missing any equipment, don’t hesitate to ask the gym staff for assistance. They are there to help and can guide you to the right resources.

Equipment Alternatives

If you don’t have a specific piece of equipment needed for an exercise, you can easily swap it out with one of your exercise alternatives. Adaptability is key, so feel free to modify exercises as necessary to fit your available equipment.

With these resources and a bit of creativity, you'll be well-prepared to tackle the Tighter Together challenge, no matter where you choose to work out!

Can I use Tighter Together at a later date?

Yes, you can! Workouts, recipes, and resources are yours to download and view at the time that is most convenient for you. However, if you’re not a subscriber, logging access is limited to 6 months after your purchase. After that, access transitions to view-only mode unless you subscribe to Moves App.

Please note, macro assessments are only available during the challenge sign-up period and must be submitted by Friday, October 3rd, 2025 to be processed.

Can I do Tighter Together while pregnant?

Before starting any workout program during pregnancy, always consult with your doctor. While many participants have safely completed the Tighter Together challenge during pregnancy, individual circumstances can vary significantly.

Consider the Mom Moves Prenatal Program

If you're new to exercise or unsure about modifying workouts for pregnancy, consider the Mom Moves Prenatal Program. Developed in collaboration with a Women’s Health & Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist, this program offers safe and effective prenatal exercises tailored to your needs.

Joining Tighter Together

If you decide to participate in Tighter Together, here are some tips to keep in mind:

  • Listen to Your Body:
    Pay close attention to how you feel during workouts and modify exercises as needed. Pregnancy-safe alternatives will be provided, but it's important to educate yourself on proper form and recovery.
  • Seek Professional Guidance:
    Consider consulting a Pelvic Floor or Women’s Health Physical Therapist for personalized advice and guidance throughout your pregnancy.

Flexibility in Scheduling

Once you purchase Tighter Together, you have the flexibility to complete the workouts at your own pace. If you're not ready for the full 6-day schedule right now, you can save the workouts for later.
